Accessibility statement

Last reviewed: 20 October 2026

This statement applies to the nidata.fyi home page at nidata.fyi, including this page and the privacy policy. The individual projects linked from the home page are separate websites and may have their own accessibility information.

I want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen or needing to scroll sideways
  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
  • navigate the whole site using just a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator
  • skip straight to the main content using the “Skip to main content” link
  • navigate the site using speech recognition software
  • listen to the site using a screen reader, such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack
  • use the site in light or dark mode, following your device’s setting
  • use the site without animation – there is none beyond short colour changes on hover, which are switched off if you have asked your device to reduce motion

I’ve also tried to keep the text simple and clear, and the site works without JavaScript.

AbilityNet’s My Computer My Way has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

I believe this website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. Specifically, the site:

  • uses semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and labelled landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer)
  • uses text and background colours that meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 in both light and dark modes
  • gives every image a meaningful text alternative
  • uses link text that makes sense out of context, and does not open links in new tabs or windows
  • has links and buttons with a target size of at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels
  • respects Windows High Contrast (forced colours) mode
  • sets the page language to British English so screen readers pronounce content correctly

If you find anything that doesn’t work well for you, please let me know – I’d treat it as a bug and fix it.

Links to other websites

The home page links to a number of other websites, including the Assembly question trackers, ChoiceMapNI, The Brief NI, my personal website, Dynumo and LinkedIn. This statement does not cover those websites. LinkedIn is run by a third party and I have no control over its accessibility.

Feedback and contact information

If you have difficulty using this website, need information in a different format, or want to report an accessibility problem, email adam@dynumo.co.uk.

Please tell me the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using. I’ll aim to reply within 5 working days. This is a personal, spare-time project, so I appreciate your patience.
