Northern Ireland public data

Making Northern Ireland’s public data easier to explore

Hi, I’m Adam McBride. nidata.fyi is where I put my fun public data experiments and tools – small, independent projects that take information already published about Northern Ireland and make it easier to search, read and understand.

I’m a senior developer and neurodiversity advocate based in Northern Ireland, and I’ve been building for the web since 2007. Through my consultancy, Dynumo, I help businesses and public organisations with practical digital work – from websites and automation to sensible use of AI.

I’m interested in open data because a lot of useful public information is technically available but hard to use: buried in PDFs, spread across different sites or only searchable one record at a time. Joining it up and presenting it clearly helps people hold decision-makers to account, make better choices and see what’s happening in their area. Everything here is unofficial and built in my own time.
